I would too, HOWEVER, did you know they rebadged the swift as the Subaru Justy for the EU market, including an AWD version? I’d love to have GTI engine/suspension/brake swap into one of those!

I used to own one! Mine was an ‘89 and I loved it. Handled great, sounded like a sportbike and got amazing fuel mileage. I paid $1,800 for it.

The AWD Swift is called the Cultus GTi. Hardly any survive as most were rallied into oblivion.

In college, I owned a ‘94 Geo Metro with the 1.0 three-banger while my roommate’s GF had the Swift GTI in white. It felt like a rocketship compared to my hamster-wheel econobox.

Nonetheless, I loved my little rebadged Swift. At almost 50 mpg, I took LOTS of road trips in that car. Reliable as hell, too.
